I think I’m a pretty fair programmer. But I’m not the be-all. And even though I have nearly 4 years work experience, I’ve got a heckuva lot to learn. So I’m making a list of skills I need to figure out a bit better. At minimum, be conversant in it. Which could be tricky as I’ve never been terribly great at learning/remembering anything without practical experience.
So here’s the list:
It’s a reasonably short list, for which I’m glad. I’m working on the OO part. I’ve got a project to re-familiarize myself with the concept (I work mostly in Perl and VB6, neither of which have much in the way of OOP available). If I make it through the OO project, I can probably think of a good project to get me into AJAX. But design patterns? Sheesh, I don’t even know where to begin! I can see that will be a lot of boring, technical reading, all in the hopes of retaining something about it.
Oh, and on an unrelated note, my schedule should be clearing up a bit in the next two weeks, so I really hope to get some progress on my web-endeavors.
They were married Jun 5th (4th?) in Maui and are now having a BBQ at their house for the reception.
(This doesn’t make wedding #7)
And why do men have nipples?
While only females have mammary glands, we all start out in a similar way in the embryo, the authors explain. The embryo follows a female template until about six weeks, when the male sex chromosome kicks in.
Men, however, have already developed nipples by that time.
