Nikki’s Baby Shower
Posted in events on August 27th, 2006Nikk’s pregnant and she’s due September 24th. It’s my duty as a sister to throw her a shower. (Yes, I know I didn’t throw one for my SIL but she also had three or four thrown for her.This will be Nikk’s only one. The SIL understands.)
Mom’s taking care of the food (even though I’m technically the one throwing the shower–because grandmas do not throw baby showers in our family) and the prizes (truthfully, those were simple) and I’m in charge of the games and the invites.
It’s vaguely super-hero themed (as my sister wrote The DC Universe Role-Playing Game and her husband actively freelances for the industry)–but mostly because the USPS came out with DC stamps.
Anyway, we’re having three games: the usual Guess The Belly Size, a Nursery Rhyme Trivia Game, and Guess The Baby Food. The latter is the most fun, in my opinion. One must guess the contents of unlabeled baby food jars—without smelling or tasting!
Hopefully, we’ll have a webcam up for those that can’t attend!
